DR. KAREN COLEY
PEDIATRICIAN DARWIN SQUARE & PORT ST.LUCIE CHILDREN'S HEALTH CENTER
Dr. Karen Coley-Piccirillo was raised in Brooklyn, New York. She attended the City University of NY, andreceived her Associate degree in Liberal Arts; then graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor’sdegree in Biology/Chemistry. After graduating in 1989 from the New York College of OsteopathicMedicine, Dr. Coley-Piccirillo went on to complete a general medical internship at Lutheran Medicalcenter in Brooklyn, NY. Going forward, she completed a Pediatric residency at Schneider Children’sHospital (now called Cohen’s Children’s hospital) at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in NY., in 1993.
Dr. Coley-Piccirillo is a Board Certified Pediatrician and has been since 1993, as well as a Fellow of theAmerican Academy of Pediatrics. She practiced at community health centers in NY, in private practiceand group practices on Long Island from 1993 until 2018 when she relocated to Florida and joined FloridaCommunity Health Centers, Inc. Initially working at the Dr. Fred Brown Center in Okeechobee, Dr. Coley-Piccirillo transferred to the offices at Darwin Center and Port St. Lucie Children’s Health Center (PSLPeds). She is on the staff at Port St. Lucie Medical Center as well, where she sees newborns and pediatricpatients that are admitted to the hospital.
On a personal note, Dr. Coley-Piccirillo has two adult children, Caitlyn and Megan, both of whom live outof state. Her aging parents now live with her in her home in Stuart. She also has two cats (Keats and Jinx)and a dog named Precious. She enjoys traveling, reading and good conversation. She looks forward tocaring for the children who come to the centers here in Port St. Lucie.
