Sami-Jo Lewis APRN, serves as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at FCHC, bringing with her 8 years of experience in Obstetrics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Florida A&M University and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Women’s Health from the University of South Alabama.
Sami-Jo’s career trajectory reflects her dedication to women’s healthcare. Starting as an ER RN, she transitioned to roles in Postpartum/Nursery and NICU before assuming her current position as a WHNP. This journey has honed her skills in areas such as Postpartum care, Nursery, NICU, and now Women’s Health.
Notable achievements include graduating high school at 16 and obtaining her BSN/RN at 19, milestones that underscore her commitment and early entry into the healthcare field.
Sami-Jo has found immense joy in the supportive environment and warm camaraderie among colleagues here at FCHC. She credits this positive atmosphere for her smooth transition into her new role as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. When asked about her experience at FCHC, Sami-Jo highlights the exceptional care and positive encounters she has personally witnessed. Her mantra, “Faith of a mustard seed,” mirrors her optimistic and determined outlook on patient care.
Outside of work, Sami-Jo indulges in her interests in anything cosmetic and aesthetic. She cherishes time with her 4-year-old son, Gionnis (Gio), who brings boundless joy to her family.
