Jose Troncoso, APRN

Jose C. Troncoso is an AANP Board Certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience and a solid educational background. He has been with the Florida Community Health Center (FCHC) at Lakeshore Medical Center in Okeechobee, Florida, since 2019. Jose earned his Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from Miami Regional University in 2018. Before that, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Sacred Heart University in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2014. His education also includes certifications in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine and Adult Intensive Care from institutions in Cuba, where he initially received his medical degree in 1988. 

Jose’s career path showcases his dedication to patient care across various roles. He worked as a Registered Nurse at Larkin Community Hospital and The Gardens Wellness Center in Miami, Florida, and served as a Medical Assistant Instructor at Southeastern College. In Cuba, he was a Medical Doctor specializing in Intensive Care at Héroes Del Baire General Hospital for over two decades. 

Jose is known for his excellent knowledge of medical principles, procedures, and terminology, as well as his ability to diagnose, treat, and provide continuous care to his patients. His clinical and time management skills, knowledge of health care operations, and proficiency in diagnostic testing and interpretation are complemented by his experience with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and electronic medical records. Jose is bilingual in English and Spanish, which helps him effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
