France Darlie Toussaint, APRN

France-Darlie Toussaint is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with extensive international clinical experience in primary care, family medicine, and pediatrics. She joined Florida Community Health Center (FCHC) in the fall of 2025 and brings a diverse background shaped by medical practice across multiple countries and cultures.

She earned her medical degree in 2009 from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic. After graduation, she served as a General Clinician providing comprehensive medical care, preventive services, and community-based health education.

Her career then took her to Barcelona, Spain, where she completed a four-year Family Medicine residency at the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) – Costa Ponent. She continued practicing there for an additional three years, with a clinical emphasis in Pediatrics and family-centered care.

Following a family move to the United States, she pursued advanced nursing education, completing a Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing at Miami Regional University and later a Post-Master Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She now serves as a Nurse Practitioner at FCHC, providing patient-centered, culturally responsive primary care to diverse populations.

Fluent in French, Haitian Creole, Spanish, Catalan, and English, she is committed to breaking language barriers and building strong, trusting relationships with her patients. Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring different cultures.

She is deeply aligned with FCHC’s mission to advance equitable healthcare, address social determinants of health, and expand access to compassionate, comprehensive services. Her guiding inspiration comes from the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.:
“The ultimate measure of a person is not where they stand in moments of comfort and convenience, but where they stand at times of challenge and controversy.”
