Marisa Bracero, APRN

Marisa Bracero, APRN is a pediatric nurse with more than 16 years of experience with FCHC. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida; and a Master of Science in Nursing along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing and Health Professional Education from the University of Central Florida. Marisa has a love for pediatrics which makes her love her job! She has personal experience with special needs children. A younger brother with congenital heart disease, growing up, she saw first-hand the impact that has on kids and their families. It is this experience that shaped her into the pediatric provider she is today. Marisa strives to provide every child and family the same exceptional care that was given to her family.

After high school, Marisa started as a CNA on an adult oncology unit while finishing up at the local community college in Melbourne, Florida. Once in nursing school at UF, she knew pediatrics was her passion. After graduating with her BSN, she worked on the pediatrics unit at a large hospital in Melbourne and in a private pediatric practice while returning to school at UCF to complete her MSN. Since graduation, she has been with FCHC as a Pediatric APRN. Her achievements include Valedictorian University of Florida College of Nursing Class of 2002 and FCHC Provider/Clinician of the Year 2019. She believes the best part about working at FCHC is her patients! Pediatric patients are the best – and the cutest! She gets to play with kids all day, make them feel better, and help their parents become the best parents they can be!

Furthermore, she believes that FCHC is a great place to take care of all of your healthcare needs – Pediatrics, Adults, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health, and Dental. The FCHC sliding scale allows patients, who may not otherwise have access, to receive great healthcare. When she is not providing care, Marisa enjoys GATOR football! And spending time traveling with her family (married with two daughters) and as well as weekends at the beach.

Marisa Bracero references this quote:
“Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it! If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it!” – Dr. Seuss
