Dr. Elizabeth Joseph Ortega, DMD, is a dedicated dental professional with a passion for compassionate care and community service. Her journey began at the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2013, followed by a DMD from Boston University in 2023.
Dr. Ortega’s exceptional communication skills enable her to create a welcoming environment for patients, particularly children, making dental visits stress-free and enjoyable. Her career path includes serving as Dental Director for Global Medical Training, providing free dental care to underserved communities across multiple countries.
At the Florida Community Health Center (FCHC), Dr. Ortega continues her mission of caring for those in need, finding fulfillment in making a positive impact on patients’ lives. Her achievements, including recognition from Boston University for excellence in geriatric dental medicine, highlight her commitment to quality care.
Driven by the principle of treating others as she would want to be treated, Dr. Ortega’s approach to dentistry is rooted in empathy, respect, and integrity. Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds joy in volunteering, singing, traveling, and cherishing time with her family, including her two children, Allison and Lily.
