Rene Leyva Quevedo, APRN, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role at Florida Community Health Centers (FCHC), where he has been a valued team member since 2018.
Rene’s journey in healthcare began with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Havana University, Cuba, which laid the foundation for his career as a family doctor from 1993 to 2012. His dedication to patient care led him to pursue further education, culminating in a Master’s in Nursing from Miami Regional University. This educational journey allowed him to expand his skills and knowledge, transitioning from a registered nurse in home health in 2015 to a nurse practitioner in 2018, a role he embraced at FCHC.
What Rene finds most fulfilling about working at FCHC is the ability to provide comprehensive care to all patients, drawing on his extensive experience in pediatric care, adult care, OBGYN, and the educational sector. His skills in diagnosis, treatment, and patient education are highly valued, making him an integral part of the healthcare team.
Outside of work, Rene enjoys fishing, baseball, and reading, finding relaxation and inspiration in these hobbies.
