Mylai Garofalo, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician, Director of Pediatrics – Clinical Administrator

Mylai Garofalo, MD is a board certified Pediatrician, Clinical Assistant Professor Department of Pediatrics Nova Southeastern University that has been working with FCHC since 2013. She was born and raised in Cuba and received a Doctor of Medicine from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana City, Cuba in 1996. She worked in Cuba as a Family medicine physician and moved to USA in 2000. Dr. Garofalo completed Pediatric Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine New York, Elmhurst hospital.

She relocated back to Florida in 2011 and since that time, she has been working as a Pediatrician. She received the 2018 Golden Baby Shoe and Golden Title for Academic Achievement (1990-1996). She is proud to be a part of the mission of Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. She loves her profession so much that sometimes she forgets that she is working! She prays to God to continue having that blessing.

Dr. Garofalo is married and has a son that has already graduated from college, her parents live with her and they have a dog. She is very proud of her family. She exemplifies compassion and treats patients as if they were her own child, with kindness and caring.
