Dr. Bettyna Morency joined Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. in 2025 and brings over three years of experience as a physician to her role as a pediatrician. Her journey to medicine began in Haiti, where witnessing her younger brother’s febrile seizures—and the challenges of limited access to care—sparked her lifelong dream of becoming a pediatrician. After moving to the United States, she pursued that dream with determination, completing a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a minor in Public Health, a Master of Medical Sciences, and ultimately earning her Doctor of Medicine degree, followed by pediatric residency training.
Dr. Morency is passionate about general pediatrics, preventive care, childhood development, and family education, and is strongly committed to advocating for underserved and immigrant communities. Known for her warm communication style and ability to make children feel comfortable, she combines clinical expertise with a public health perspective to help families understand not just what to do, but why it matters.
Dr. Morency is fluent in Haitian Creole, which allows her to connect deeply with families in their preferred language and provide culturally sensitive care.
She loves working at FCHC because it allows her to give back to communities that remind her of her own experiences growing up. Her guiding mantra is:
“Be the person you needed when you were younger.”
Outside of work, Dr. Morency enjoys bike riding, learning tennis, and singing. She strives to create a welcoming environment for every patient and to build long-term partnerships with families to help children thrive.
