Amanda Bustle, MSN, CPNP-PC, APRN, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Amanda Bustle has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Dr. Fred Brown Children’s Health Center since December 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Science in both Psychology and Kinesiology from Iowa State University (2007), and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Illinois-Chicago (2015). She is also a Certified Lactation Specialist (CLS).

For over 15 years, she has worked primarily in pediatric medicine, serving in the operating room, community health clinics, school-based clinics, or private practice. In 2020, she relocated with her family from her beloved city of Chicago. Amanda says she was grateful to find the energy and community of FCHC, where she enjoys connecting with patients, families, and caregivers, fostering a safe and healthy environment while empowering and educating parents to support each child’s unique needs and goals. She considers it a privilege to care for children daily alongside similar-minded staff and colleagues.

Amanda enjoys getting to know the many families in the Okeechobee community and the staff who continue to make her feel at home in their home city. She loves spending time at the beach with her family, friends, and two children. Some of her favorite things are sunshine, a good cup of coffee, and a great book.

Amanda references this quote:

“Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.” Theodore Roosevelt
