Port St. Lucie Women & Children’s Health Center hosted a fantastic Back-to-School event on Wednesday, July 30th, bringing together families for a day filled with fun, resources, and community support. Over 100 backpacks were distributed through Florida KidCare, and children enjoyed free haircuts, nail painting, face painting, and even a hula hoop contest with prizes. Families received essential items including clothing, shoes, hand sanitizer, fingerprinting kits, and books to promote reading and education. Guests were also treated to complimentary orange juice provided by Natalie’s, along with freshly grilled hot dogs and hamburgers served throughout the event.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the community partners who made this event possible: Florida KidCare for the backpacks, Azul Azul Hair Salon for the haircuts and manicures, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office for fingerprinting kits, Abbott for Similac formula support, Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County for providing free books, and Natalie’s Juice of Fort Pierce. We are incredibly grateful for the collaboration and commitment that helped ensure families were supported and kids were set up for success this school year.
