Medicare Eligibility Requirements
Citizenship/Residency: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident who has lived in the U.S. for at least 5 consecutive years.
Age: Typically 65 or older.
- Work History/Benefits: Must receive or be eligible for Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits, or have a qualifying work history (self or spouse).
