31 moms walked in. Every single one left impressed. That’s the kind of outcome the TOPWA (The Organization for Pregnant Women and Allies) team was hoping for when they hosted their 2026 Celebration of Mothers Baby Shower, and somehow, they exceeded expectations.
When the evaluations came back from the VIPPs that’s Very Important Pregnant or Postpartum People, and yes, the acronym is everything. The results were staggering:
- 100% rated the baby shower as “excellent” or “good”
- 100% rated the event organization as “excellent” or “good”
- 100% called the staff “extremely friendly” and “extremely helpful”
- 92% would recommend the event to a friend or colleague
A perfect score? In this economy? We’re floored.
Community partners showed up and showed OUT! It wasn’t just a baby shower. It was practically a wellness expo for moms. Thirteen community organizations set up program tables, connecting attendees with resources they actually need, because showing up for mothers means more than just balloons and cake.
Every single mom left knowing more than when she walked in. 100% of attendees reported learning either “a lot of new information” or “some new information.” That means zero people left feeling like their time was wasted. Zero. That’s not a statistic, that’s a flex.
Attendees weren’t shy about sharing how much the event meant to them. The gifts. The food. The feeling of being seen and celebrated during one of the most significant seasons of their lives.
Sometimes all a mom needs is a room full of people saying: we see you, we’ve got you, and you matter.
It really does take a village and this village delivered. TOPWA didn’t pull this off alone. It took community partners, sponsors, volunteers, and a team that genuinely cares about improving pregnancy and birth outcomes. As the organizers put it: “YOU are the village.”
And honestly? What a village to be part of.
