On Saturday, June 6, Florida Community Health Centers proudly partnered with Iglesia Adventista Hispana Clewiston to host a community health fair dedicated to promoting wellness, education, and access to care. The event welcomed more than 60 community members, demonstrating the strong interest in health resources and the value of collaborative community outreach.
The success of the event was made possible through the partnership and hospitality of Iglesia Adventista Hispana Clewiston. The church played an integral role by providing food for attendees and offering spiritual education, creating a welcoming environment that supported both physical and spiritual well-being. Their team also brought valuable professional expertise to the event, including a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who helped provide additional health and wellness support to participants.
Florida Community Health Centers staff delivered a variety of preventive health services, including dental screenings, blood pressure checks, and glucose testing. These services gave attendees an opportunity to learn more about their health and connect with resources that can support their long-term well-being.
Beyond the screenings and education provided, the event served as a meaningful example of what can be accomplished when local organizations work together to meet the needs of the community. By combining healthcare services, wellness education, and community fellowship, the health fair helped create pathways to healthier lives for residents of Clewiston.
We are grateful to Iglesia Adventista Hispana Clewiston for their partnership and shared commitment to improving access to health and wellness resources. Together, we continue to strengthen community connections and advance our mission of providing quality, accessible care for all.
