Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. Announces 2024 Community Scholarship Recipients
Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. (FCHC) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2024 Community Scholarship, extending heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to these outstanding individuals as they embark on their educational journeys. The scholarship recipients include Briana Tapia Jr., Catherine Bostic, Kerdarius Ruckus, Madison Movchuk, Miguel Palacios Maldonado, and Samantha Genao.
The recipients of the 2024 Community Scholarship represent a diverse range of backgrounds and aspirations. Many of these exceptional individuals are entering the medical field, demonstrating a passion for healthcare and a commitment to improving the well-being of their communities. Others are children of FCHC employees or patients, reflecting the organization’s dedication to supporting its extended family. Additionally, some recipients are from migrant agricultural seasonal worker families, highlighting FCHC’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in education.
Dr. Wilhelmina Lewis, President & Chief Executive Officer of Florida Community Health Centers, Inc., expressed the organization’s pride in supporting these deserving students. “Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. understands the vital importance of education to the health outcomes of individuals and communities,” said Dr. Lewis. “We are proud to be able to offer scholarships to deserving students across our six-county area to support their educational endeavors.”
FCHC’s commitment extends beyond providing healthcare services; it encompasses fostering educational opportunities that empower individuals to pursue their dreams. Dr. Lewis emphasized, “These scholarships allow us to prioritize ensuring that FCHC patients, children of staff, students from Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker families, and individuals pursuing careers in health care have additional resources they can use to pursue their dreams. When we say, “before birth and beyond, let our family take care of yours”, that includes us being a part of increasing access to education for our youth.”
