Roberto Rodriguez-Perez, MD is an Internal Medicine physician with more than three decades of clinical experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. Dr. Rodriguez-Perez completed his pre-medical training in Puerto Rico and earned his medical degree in Mexico before returning to Puerto Rico, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency.
His career path reflects a deep commitment to service and broad clinical expertise. He has served in a variety of roles, including community health center physician, workers’ compensation internal medicine consultant, hospitalist, and palliative medicine physician. In addition, he has maintained a long-standing private practice in internal medicine and hospital medicine, caring for patients across diverse clinical settings.
Dr. Rodriguez-Perez has been recognized for his academic and clinical contributions, including receiving a First Prize Oral Presentation from the American College of Physicians, Puerto Rico Chapter, and participating in infectious disease research at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Drawn to Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) work by a strong sense of mission, Dr. Rodriguez-Perez is dedicated to serving underserved communities and addressing complex medical needs with compassion, experience, and respect. He believes strongly in resilience and lifelong growth, living by the mantra: “The higher you fall, the higher you will bounce.”
