Dr. Lyonel Jean-Baptiste is a board-certified family physician with over 30 years of experience. He started his current position as FCHC’s Clinical Administrator in May 2022.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste started his career in 1979 at Miami-Dade Community College with an associate degree in art. He attended the University of Texas, San Antonio, and then the University of Miami School of Medicine. He adds he is “always doing homework” with continuing education.
An honor graduate, he received a ribbon for basic military and academic training at Lackland Air Force Texas and recognition as an operating room specialist at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. He also received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, and the U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training Ribbon.
He says the best part about working at FCHC is the opportunity to care for underserved patients. Dr. Jean-Baptiste says he would convince someone to become a patient at FCHC by showing them that patients are appreciated and get good care with love, empathy, and compassion. He is married with five children and enjoys soccer, boating, gardening, fishing, hunting, and sailing.
