Dr. Jessica Carney, DC, is a distinguished Chiropractic Physician with a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine from Keiser University College of Chiropractic and a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound from Scott Air Force Base. Dr. Carney combines her extensive background in chiropractic and emergency medical services to deliver comprehensive and effective healthcare solutions.
She excels in creating individualized care plans, conducting thorough patient assessments, and performing detailed histories and physical examinations to accurately diagnose and manage conditions. Her fellowship in musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound enhances her diagnostic precision and treatment planning. Skilled in differential diagnosis, Dr. Carney ensures accurate identification and treatment of both musculoskeletal and non-musculoskeletal conditions, collaborating with other healthcare providers. She is adept in various spinal manipulation and adjustment techniques and proficient in interpreting X-rays, MRIs, and other diagnostic imaging to inform her treatment plans.
Dr. Carney’s medical journey began at 18 when she enrolled in an EMT program, igniting her passion for helping others. She spent her first three years in EMS in the private sector before transitioning to a paramedic role at Grady Hospital’s Department of Emergency Medical Services. At Grady, she integrated care with the Emory and Morehouse School of Medicine programs, gaining exposure to high-acuity and high-volume patient care at Atlanta’s only Level 1 trauma center. She later became an EMT and Paramedic instructor, designing an integrated hybrid EMS education program in Savannah, Georgia. Her desire for a more active role in patient care eventually led her to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine.
Currently, Dr. Carney finds immense fulfillment working at Florida Community Health Centers (FCHC), where she serves the community alongside compassionate and exceptionally skilled providers. She is dedicated to providing accessible and compassionate care, striving to improve patient outcomes and ensure every patient can achieve optimal health and wellness.
In her personal time, Dr. Carney is passionate about fitness, working out five days a week and enjoying her time at the gym. She is an avid sailor, competing on a J24 women’s sailing team in the United States and the British Virgin Islands. She also enjoys daily reading and engaging in outdoor activities, especially spending time at the beach.
