Edgerty Pierre-Louis is a Registered Nurse and has been the Director of Nursing at FCHS since June 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. She is currently studying for the exam to become a Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified.
Edgerty began her career as a staff RN at the non-profit Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade, Florida. She was soon promoted to charge nurse, supervisor, assistant manager, and manager. During her 16 years there, she oversaw the ICU, medical-surgical, telemetry, and dialysis departments. She then wanted to expand her career and joined FCHC. She is thankful to work with a team that respects and encourages new ideas and processes and where leaders have an open-door policy and foster an environment of growth.
Edgerty states, “nursing is not for everyone and recognizes that it takes a strong, intelligent, and compassionate person to take on the ills of the world with passion and purpose while working to maintain the health and well-being of the planet.” She describes herself as an energetic and compassionate nursing leader who looks for the best ways to provide family-centered, safe, and cost-effective patient care. Edgerty loves spending time with her immediate family, particularly her dog, Isis.
