Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary Duties
1. Maintain Purchasing Records (filing).
- PO Numerical File
- PO Vendor File
- Purchase Requisitions by location/account numbers
2.Purchase of Stock and Non-Stock supplies and reusable Minor Equipment. Obtain competitive prices to ensure the best possible price.
3. Obtain and document annual bids for Stock and Non-Stock items.
4. Maintain product information from manufacturers and distributors in catalogs and web sites.
5. Provide vendors as needed for building repair and maintenance to all locations as requested by Center Managers.
6.Contact vendors and follow-up on equipment repairs as needed to assist the Purchasing Director.
7. All Stock and Non-Stock receiving keyed into transaction entry in the Great Plains system on a daily basis. Ensure packing slip/receiving documents match entry in Great Plains. Forwards receivers to Accounts Payable daily to ensure discounts are not lost.
8. Maintain standing order purchase orders.
9. Key all inventory adjustments into Great Plains Inventory Module.
10. Obtain quotes for annual capital budget requests. Prepare monthly comparison of actual capital purchases to the budget reports.
11.Reconciliation between Accounts Payable, Purchase Orders, and Vendors.
12.Forward copy of posting report highlighting any price discrepancies to Accounts Payable.
13. Issue approval for uniforms according to policy, and prepares payroll deduction form.

Secondary Duties

1.Monthly - Check the status of open POs pending over thirty (30) days with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies and services on order.
2. Maintain “Capital Budget Summary” report on a monthly basis.
3.Backup for Warehouse receiving and distribution of supplies and stock purchases.
4. Pick up and delivery of supplies as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
1.Associates Degree in Business Administration or Accounting (Bachelors Degree Preferred)
2.Minimum of three (3) years experience in Purchasing or Related Area

FCHC has health center locations in Clewiston, Fort Pierce, Indiantown, Moore Haven, Okeechobee,  Pahokee, Port St. Lucie, and Stuart with FCHC’s Corporate Office centrally located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Utilizing a sliding fee scale (SFS), based on annual federal poverty limits (FPL), we are able to determine the amount of financial responsibility each patient carries regarding their health care services. Patients who are at or below 100% of FPL have their health care needs provided by FCHC at a nominal charge.
