Dr. Lewis is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician with Fellowship training in Geriatrics. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College Medicine.

She completed both her Residency and Fellowship training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati’s University Hospital. Dr. Lewis currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. She oversees operations for the company’s twelve sites in six counties and is passionate about providing and facilitating quality, comprehensive, affordable care for all patients. She has led the organization though the development of a copyrighted methodology for Care Management as well as in achieving the NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home program’s highest level of recognition. Dr. Lewis is a longstanding member and past Chair of the St. Lucie County Diabetes Coalition. She thoroughly enjoys community service and has participated in a number of health related endeavors over the years, including church based health ministries, medical missions, and community lectures. Dr. Lewis has served on a number of community boards, including Restoration House (a program for women in recovery from drug and alcohol abuse) and Treasure Coast Hospice, Inc. She is a past chair of the Health and Human Services (HHS) facet of the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Links, Inc., and developed a nationally awarded “best practices” program for addressing Metabolic Syndrome through children’s programs, women’s programs, and broader community screenings and education. Dr. Lewis is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine’s Department of Family Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Florida State University School of Medicine’s Department of Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Lewis serves on the Board of Directors for the Lake Okeechobee Rural Health Network, the Florida Area Health Education Center, the Florida Diabetes Alliance, and the Florida Association of Community Health Centers. She also serves on Florida’s State Advisory Council to the US Commission on Civil Rights and is a founding member of Impact 100 St. Lucie, a philanthropic organization committed to strengthening communities by funding local nonprofit initiatives.

Dr. Miquel graduated Magna Cum Laude from Medical School at La Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE). Dr. Miquel completed his residency in Family Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he served as both Chief Resident and President of the House Staff. Dr, Miquel is a current member and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, as well as an active member of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians. He also maintains an active membership with the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Florida Association of Community Health Centers, and the National Association of Community Health Centers. Dr. Miquel received the Dean’s Resident Teacher Award in residency and has been recognized as one of America’s Top Family Doctors (2014) and Palm Beach Illustrated Top Doctors (2017). Dr. Miquel completed his Physician Executive M.B.A. degree at Auburn University where upon completing the M.B.A., he was also presented with his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Dr. Miquel has a passion for Primary Care and serving the underserved, and has been using his education and experience to improve processes and increase the quality of care to those he serves. Dr. Miquel has been doing some motivational speaking and plans to do more public speaking in the future.

Prior to joining FCHC, Meg was Senior VP of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of a Ryan White Part C grantee and federally-qualified health center (lookalike) in New York State. She once served as the Chief Financial Officer of a biotechnology development company that was also a SEC registrant. Her public accounting career included positions with Arthur Andersen LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Insero & Co, a regional upstate NY firm in which she was as an equity-partner in their Sarbane-Oxley Compliance division. Meg is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia and the accounting certificate program at St. John Fisher College. She is a past member of the New York State Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Certified Public Accounting Association. She enjoys playing golf and spending time with her family.

During that time, she received her degree from Indian River State College. Georganna joined Florida Community Health Centers in 1991 as a Center Manager in Okeechobee. Soon after, Georganna also obtained her Insurance license for Health and Variable Annuities, to assist patients at Florida Community Health Centers. In 2007, after 16 years with Florida Community Health Centers, Georganna was promoted to Director of Center Management, joining the Senior Management Team. Georganna was promoted again in 2010, to the Chief Administrative Officer, Vice President of Administrative Operations. Throughout her 28-year career with Florida Community Health Centers, Georganna has represented the corporation on various Boards including The Healthy Start Coalition of Okeechobee County, The Heartland Healthy Kids Coalition, and The Central Florida Disaster Medical Coalition Board.

Mr. Charon joined FCHC in 2011 as Chief Information Officer. He has over 30 years of technology and management experience working for both Fortune 500 companies as well as start-ups. He has also held international positions with assignments in the Middle East as well as Australia having conducted business in 24 countries. Mr. Charon has a BSIT degree from Northeastern University in Boston and an MBA from Bryant University in Rhode Island.

Oteasa received her undergraduate degree from Florida International University, and her MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Oteasa has worked in the healthcare industry for over 15 years and has a proven track record for designing and implementing successful performance improvement projects and leading organizations through regulatory audits and accreditations without statement of conditions. Oteasa’s ability to lead teams to demonstrate continuous quality improvement and compliance as led her to receive awards for excellence performance. Oteasa joined Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. (FCHC) in 2017 and serves as the Senior Director of Quality Improvement, Compliance, and Communications. In this role, she oversees and participates in a broad range of organization-wide regulatory compliance, risk management, and quality-related projects. Through her background experience with NCQA, URAC, and AAAHC, accreditation processes, Oteasa collaborates with staff across all levels of organization for accreditation preparation and on-site surveys. She monitors facility adherence to regulatory agencies such as the Federal government, Centers for Medicaid and Medicare, and the Joint Commission; and is a contributor to population health management and positive clinical outcomes.

With over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, Melissa has used her strong human resources background and a blend of experience in various positions to affect positive change within organizations. In her previous role with the United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, Melissa championed professional development opportunities for employees, developed workshops and training on harassment and discrimination, and led efforts to support staff in order to enhance the employee experience. Melissa is an advocate of putting the “human” back in human resources. With strategic planning and hands-on execution, Melissa combines decisiveness, strong business acumen and formal education to achieve objectives both professionally and personally.
